When you drive down to Ooty you look forward to seeing gardens and flowers and also want to stay away from the crowd!!! Can you? Yes...Stop over at Katteri garden on the way to Coonoor. This is a good stop over for about an hour.
Explore the garden...for starters it is a very good effort. There is a car park and the location is very scenic.
Also it has access to Runneymede railway station where one can explore the rack and pinion system of the Nilgiri Mountain railway and also see the great view of the stream flowing to Mettupalayam.
